It’s a double-whammy blog today. 5th and 6th of November.
Guess where I am? Yep, I’m in America. FINALLY!!! The flight got delayed again, and the actual trip took around 14 hours. Urrrggghhh! I’m making a point to never travel in Economy Class again. I got NO sleep last night, at all. The TV stuff was kind of boring. When we arrived, we had to stand in line for an hour.
But when we walked outside... WHOA. It was so different! The air, the people... the cars. Yeah, the cars are amazing! Dodge trucks the size of whales, Mustangs as fast as cheetahs and... you’re not gonna believe this... Chevy buses! They’re SO awesome.
And all of them have rims the size of a coffee table. Todd, you would LOVE this!
I gotta say, I’m really looking forward to Universal Studios. Disneyland too, but Universal Studios sounds really good. It should be lots of fun.
Oh, and Dylan? Some news you might just be jealous about... guess what I picked up today? THE GUITAR HERO III SOUNDTRACK CD!!! *Pick squeal*
I don’t know if they’re already available in Australia, if they’re being released soon or if they’re never, ever going to come out... but I have a copy! And it comes with some sweet as music, a booklet of concept art and a code for 3 secret unlockable songs.
It was a pretty mellow day today... we just went for a walk, did a bit of shopping and went to Mimi’s Café for dinner. A pretty nice place with a great menu. Plus, it’s across the road from our hotel, so it’s a great choice for easy meals.
That’s all for today... tomorrow starts our real adventure.
NOVEMBER 6TH
Wow... what a day! We woke up in the morning for a breakfast at Mimi’s Café, where we went for dinner last night... I had the Pancake Breakfast (4 pancakes, two eggs, bacon and orange juice) which was awesome... and way too huge for it to be healthy.
Then we walked over to Disneyland for an entire day of rides, food, shopping and general fun. It was amazing! I was blown away by everything. The Haunted Mansion has been converted to The Nightmare Before Christmas... it was probably the best thing I’ve ever seen.
It’s past 11:00, so I’d better call it a night. Expect a really big entry tomorrow.
